Curated Grace Found is a little dream of mine come true, quite literally. For a solid two plus years I had a recurring dream several times a week. I was back in high school, just days away from graduation, with a big project due. I had all of high school to complete it. I was to have read 50 books and written a one-page report on each of them. I knew I had done all the work, but I couldn’t seem to get it all in one place. This dream would not leave me alone. All the while, during my waking hours, I had imagined developing a place to house my devotional writing and ministry resources but hadn’t yet done so. Then on July 18, 2024, I started writing a little every day and the curating began. I have not had the dream since.
Having served in various faith formation ministries since 2001, I have had the opportunity to create countless resources and hone my writing skills as I have continually bumped up against God’s grace in the people I serve alongside. I know that serving God’s people day in and day out can be exhausting. Sometimes the weekly must-do’s are all you can get done before Sunday rolls around and you start surviving all over again. My hope is that Curated Grace Found can bring you resources and perspective to help you thrive, that inspires and rejuvenate your spirit and your ministry.
Creativity is draining for some people but for me it is energizing and life-giving. I once read that we should find the thing we can no longer not do and then go do that. Writing and creating is a part of ministry I can no longer not do. So, I hope it will bless you and support you in a ministry of presence and permission giving which is not exhaustingly rule-bound but refreshingly grace-found.
